One is better than two !

Hello guys !

This Wednesday we are going to talk about earrings … or rather earring.

new-wave 3

These past years jewels designers have been very creative, and they have shown us new ways of wearing earrings. The famous “Mise en Dior” for instance is a beautiful and original piece. After this, during the FW 2013 show, Raf Simons sent his models down the runway with just one earring. We retrieve this in the ad campaign with Daria Strokous.

Then other designers followed it, like Pheobe Philo for Céline (how can you expect something else from her ❤ ?) or Nicolas Ghesquière for his débuts at Louis Vuitton.

I love this trend and I’d say it goes in my “obsession” category ^^ . One earring is a bold statement. Usually this kind of jewels works by pair, thus wearing just one earring brings more “weight” on a side of your face. Either you love this asymmetry or you can tempered it with a side ponytail or something else.

Now in stores it’s kind of easy to find mismatched earrings. That is to say one big earring like these ones above, paired with a small stud. That’s another alternative to this trend if you’re to afraid to rock it entirely. The balance is not perfect of course, but your other ear will not be naked. I’ve made some pictures for you, with what I already have in my jewelry box.

That a cool way to twist a classical look I think. Once again I’ve picked some single earrings from Farfetch

Respectively Alison Lou, Chloé, Giorgio Armani, Asherali Knopfer, Givenchy, Yvonne Léon.

Have you tried this trend yet ?

    1. I know what you mean, the tassel earring might be a little bit 80s, especially if you imagine it with a Balmain outfit ^^ But a nice geometrical earring is cool 🙂
