Hi everyone !
Things are moving at Lanvin 🙂 A few days ago, they announced the appointment of Bouchra Jarrar at the head of artistic direction for womenswear.
Her long experience in ready-to-wear and Haute-Couture makes her a skillful designer. She has collaborated Christian Lacroix and Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga before launching her own label.
Lanvin CEO Michèle Huiban praises her work and is proud to welcome her. She will bring freshness while respecting the legacy of the French house. Bouchra Jarrar states she feels honoured and ready for the challenge it represents.
I think that’s good news. Bouchra has a sharp sense of style and feminity, a Parisian elegance that fit Jeanne Lanvin’s fashion house really well. She begins today, and her first show will be settled for SS 2017 (maybe a resort collection before ?).
Here is her Spring 2016 Couture presentation. You can take a peek at her previous collections to have you wait until summer on Vogue.com.
What do you think about this choice ?
